CHICAGO (April 5, 2021) – Loyola University Chicago is ranked No. 11 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I-II Men's Poll, which was revealed today. The Ramblers dropped a pair of matches to then-No. 5 Lewis last week. Despite the two losses last week, the Ramblers have won five of their last seven outings heading into the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) Tournament, which begins this weekend.

Loyola University Chicago ranked #11 on this year’s Best Colleges for Division I Men’s Volleyball list. Loyola Chicago is a private not-for-profit institution located in Chicago, Illinois. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 2,792 bachelor’s degrees in 2018-2019.
Loyola is back in the national rankings. The Ramblers following their third consecutive win jumped to No. 10 in the latest Off the Block National Media Poll that was released Tuesday. The National Media Poll is the only rankings in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball solely determined by media members. The 10 teams receiving the most votes are ranked in the National Media Poll, while other schools earning votes but finishing outside of the top 10 are considered teams receiving votes.

The Ramblers are currently ranked at No. 22 and have not been ranked during the regular season since checking in at No. 16 on March 4, 1985. When Loyola was last ranked in the Top 25 poll, the team earned the No. 7 spot in the final poll after its Cinderella Final Four Run in 2018. The Ramblers had a 32-6 record that season and made it to NCAA March Madness for the first time since 1985.
